Bio
Dr. Jorge Yao is a pathologist with over 20 years of experience spanning academia, reference laboratories, and private practice. During his tenure at the University of Rochester, he focused on translational research, leading the establishment of a biospecimen laboratory with HIPAA-compliant protocols. His collaborations with biomedical and pharmaceutical firms sparked an interest in the business side of healthcare, prompting him to earn an MBA with concentrations in Strategy and Finance.

This diverse background has reinforced his belief that pathology extends beyond science—it involves leadership, communication, and fostering teamwork. He has held leadership roles in quality assurance, compliance, and laboratory management, integrating medical and business expertise to optimize operations and strategy.
